Full campus WiFi coverage
In order to support the school and the teaching force to deliver their eLearning curriculum in different KLAs, LTFC has joined the "Support Scheme for e-Learning in Schools" (WiFi 900) offered by the Education Bureau. The WiFi 900 Scheme aims at providing funding to schools to reinforce WiFi infrastructures to supplement the implementation of e-textbooks and other e-learning resources in class. With the introduction of this scheme, over 90% of the school campus, including all the classrooms, laboratories, special rooms, staff rooms, learning resources centre and gymnasiums is now within WiFi coverage. Stable WiFi coverage also facilitates the use of Apple TV for iPad projection.
Advanced audio and visual equipment
In order to enhance the visibility of graphic display as well as audience's visual effects, two 120-inch LED Screen display have also been installed on the two sides of the School Hall. With the use of P3 LED module, the LED screen supports High Definition graphic display.
To replace the old-fashioned long shot projectors, a 260-inch LED display wall has been installed in the K P Fan Hall. With the use of P4 LED modules, the screen also supports High Definition graphic display that catches the attention of the audience.
To enrich and enhance the audience's visual experience, the audio system has been replaced with a professional-standard, concert-level line array speakers and WiFi controlled audio mixers. With the high-end audio and visual equipment, the quality of sounds has been enhanced. Besides the AV equipment installed in the School Hall, LED display has been installed in various locations in the campus for broadcasting educational video clips and information about school events:
AI Lab
According to The Education Bureau, STEAM education offers the opportunities for students to become lifelong learners of science, technology and mathematics so they can meet the challenges of the 21st century. It also helps nurture versatile talents in STEAM-related areas to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness and sustainable development in the realm of innovation technology and science.
STEAM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEAM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
The establishment of the STEAM education/research centre is one major measures to live up to the school vision to lead the local education by integrating academic, sports and innovative design activities to develop and nurture future community leaders, sports professionals, accomplished academics, upright citizens and cultured individuals in the 21st century.
AI Lab is comprised of three zones:
The AI Lab is a cutting-edge STEAM education/ research centre which is located on the 3/F of the New Annex. To nurture our students' creativity, collaboration and problem solving skills, as well as to foster their innovation and entrepreneurial spirit as required in the 21st century, our school has built the AI Lab to provide a space to inspire and empower our students to develop the STEAM knowledge, skills and mindsets that are necessary to thrive in a technologically rich society. Therefore, students are encouraged to use the AI Lab for STEAM research and experiments. The AI Lab, equipped with innovative and advanced technology, provides an authentic STEAM learning environment for students with potential and passion in science, Mathematics and ICT to acquire skills and receive practical training in coding, robotics and cross-disciplinary creations.

Promoting a Reading Culture
The promotion of a reading culture in school can leverage two important outcomes in our students' learning, and address two of the major concerns in education, i.e., language proficiency and learning capacity. As ensuring quality education in LTFC has always been our prime aim, curriculum development and reform must be ongoing, so that we can face the challenges of the 21st century, through learning to read and reading to learn to best equip ourselves to smoothly cross the millennial threshold.
It is essential to equip our students especially in early years with the skills on "Learning to Read" and "Reading to Learn", which enhance their overall capacity for life-long learning and whole-person development.
A whole-school approach to foster "Learning to Read, Reading to Learn" is taken by the collaborating efforts of the whole staff and parents. The importance of cultivating a reading culture has been identified. A whole-school responsibility to incorporate the cultivation of a reading culture as a key task at school level, that is, the school development programme, curriculum development, moral education & guidance, co-curricular activities and activity highlight in the yearly theme, etc. School's efforts in the area of promoting a reading culture has been reflected in the launching of various reading schemes and programmes, e.g. Reading kaleidoscope, and correspondence with parents in order to enhance their understanding of the school on ‘Learning to Read, Reading to Learn.
Focus:
To promote a reading culture in the school so as to enhance the students' language proficiency and learning capacity.
Targets:
Language proficiency: knowledge and skills
Learning capacity: learning to read, reading to learn
