Lam Tai Fai College

Exhibition of Secondary School Students’ Creative Visual Arts Work 2012-2013 was organized by the Arts Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute during 11 Jan – 6 Feb 2013. The Exhibition aimed at providing an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and artistic abilities in visual arts and promoting communication among students, teachers and the public.

This year, 425 pieces of artwork were on exhibition. These exhibits were selected from 1,400 entries submitted by 155 secondary schools. The adjudicators included the art professional Mr. Henry Chan, Professor Lui Chun-kwong, Dr. Stella Tang and Mr. Peter Pan, as well as representatives of the Arts Education Section.

We have sent 14 students’ artworks and 6 of them were selected for the exhibition. Among them, outstanding works of our students LAU Tsz Ching (SS2R), YICK Hoi Yiu(SS2R) and DIK Chun Yin (SS2T) emerged as one of the few awardees for the Grand Prize and CHAN Chun Ka (SS2R) got the Outstanding Award.

Our talented girls LAU Tsz Ching and YICK Hoi Yiu won the Grand Prize with the fashion work, inspired by the culture of Hong Kong.

SS2T DIK Chun Yin won the Grand Prize with his sophisticated work, inspired by the Chinese master painting " Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival "(清明上河圖)
