Lam Tai Fai College

In an exciting conclusion to the Hong Kong International Track Cup and the 15th National Games Track Cycling Test, Lam Tai Fai College alumnus Ceci Lee Sze-wing competed in the omnium event for the second time in three days. Facing off against former world champion Yumi Kajiwara from Japan, both athletes endured a challenging race, battling through injuries to secure points until the very last moment.

Although Lee ultimately finished behind her idol, she achieved a new personal best, earning a silver medal with a score of 144 points. This performance elevated her standing, and she also took home two bronze medals over the three-day event.
She reflected on the experience, stating, "This might be the boldest omnium competition I've ever had. I had collisions and challenges, but today, I focused solely on my performance rather than keeping an eye on my competitors. This experience serves as a template for my future competitions."

Cycling team head coach Herve Dagorne praised Lee’s performance, hailing it as the best match he has witnessed since his arrival in Hong Kong. He remarked, "This was her toughest, but it turned out to be perfect. Competing so closely with Yumi, regardless of the final outcome, shows that she has made significant progress in her career."

Congratulations to Ceci Lee for her outstanding achievements! Her growth has surely inspired many potential athletes to come.
