10th Anniversary Variety Show and Speech Day 2013-2014

In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the founding of Lam Tai Fai College, our School organized The 10th Anniversary Variety Show and Speech Day 2013-2014 on the 26th and 27th May 2014 at the Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The Variety Show commenced in the evening on the 26th May 2014 with our Marching Band entering the Auditorium and our school choir singing the school song. A welcoming speech was then given by our School Manager, Prof. Chung Pak Kwong, in which he praised the talents of LTFC students and welcomed all the guests, parents, alumni and students. Prof. Chung also presented prizes to the 4 winning students of the 10th Anniversary Essay Competition.

After that, a series of performances were given by our students including the Marching Band, Breakdancing, English Duologue, Hulusi Solo, Martial Arts Performance, Violin Duet, Chinese Poem, Zheng Solo, Artistic Cycling, Latin Dance and a Band Show, which provided our students with a valuable opportunity to demonstrate their talents and potential in various aspects.

The Speech Day 2013-2014 was held on the following day and we were honoured to have our school Supervisor, Dr. Hon. Lam Tai Fai, SBS, BBS, JP; our school Deputy Supervisor, Mr John Fan Kam Ping, BBS, JP; our School Managers, Prof. Philip Yeung, Mr. Alex Wong; our Parent Managers, Ms. Jenny Miu and Mr. Wong Chi Kwong; and, our PTA Chairman, Mr. Albert Ng, to officiate the ceremony. An inspiring opening address was delivered by Mr. Fan to kick off the ceremony. Scholarships, certificates, prizes and awards were then presented to our alumni and SS3 graduates to acknowledge their outstanding achievements.

The Showpiece performance on both evenings was the award winning drama production - ‘Rehearsals are Over!’, which received six awards in the Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2013-14 (English Category). The extended version of the drama was performed by our Principal, teachers, students and alumna. This added to the spectacular nature of the production and the audience enjoyed the performance very much!
