Shanghai Administration of Sports Delegation Visits LTFC to Inspire Youth Sports Excellence

Lam Tai Fai College (LTFC) warmly welcomed a high-level delegation from the Shanghai Administration of Sports for an official campus visit aimed at fostering regional collaboration, sharing best practices in youth athletic development, and exploring future exchange opportunities in competitive sports and sports science.

The visit opened with a school tour followed by an interactive presentation outlining LTFC's unique educational model, which seamlessly integrates academic rigor with elite sports training. Delegation members praised the school's long-standing dedication to nurturing world-class athletes while maintaining a strong foundation in holistic education.

A roundtable discussion focused on the "Dual-Career" model—supporting student-athletes in achieving academic goals alongside international athletic achievements. Representatives from the Shanghai Administration of Sports shared insights on Shanghai's youth sports talent pipeline, training ecosystem, and sports science integration. In turn, LTFC administrators highlighted the success of the school's Partnership School Programme with the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI), which has produced numerous outstanding athletes.

Both parties discussed potential collaborative initiatives, including reciprocal youth sports exchanges, summer training camps, and administrative sharing sessions between Shanghai and Hong Kong.
