Our alumnus Cheung Ka-long, Edgar, has won a gold medal in the men's foil individual at the 2016 Asian Fencing Championships in Wuxi, China. He is the first Hong Kong fencer to win the gold medal in this event. We would like to express our congratulations to Ka-long, for his achievement in the men’s foil individual at the tournament.

The Asian Fencing Championships is a fencing tournament held by the Asian Fencing Confederation for the Asia-Oceania zone. The tournament began in 1989 and it has been held annually since 2007. It awards points for the Fencing World Cup. The Championship for this year was held from 13th to 18th April 2016 in Wuxi, China. Ka-long emerged as Champion in men's foil category, after defeating the Former Chinese and Japanese World Champion fencing players in the final.
