School Visit by Mr Kenneth Chen Wei-on, JP, Under Secretary for Education

It is indeed our greatest honour to have Mr Kenneth Chen Wei-on, JP (陳維安先生), Under Secretary for Education, visiting our school on 2nd February, 2010. Mr Chen was accompanied by Mr Jeremy Young (楊哲安先生), the Political Assistant to SED and Ms Selina Ng (伍淑珍女士), Senior School Development Officer of the New Territories East Regional Education Office, Education Bureau.

During the two-hour school tour, Mr Chen has shown a genuine interest in how LTFC operates as a school that aims at offering specialized education for talent development and raised a lot of questions regarding the unique curriculum as well as whole-person development of our students. During a meeting session with Dr. Hon. Lam Tai Fai BBS, JP, our School Supervisor, Mr Chen was informed about the school mission and the ongoing School Extension Project. He had a better understanding on how our school meets the challenges of providing school with diversified learning experiences through our 4-Focus Learning Areas and preparing our students with life-long learning capabilities. The guests were greatly impressed by our students』 all-round attainment and our state-of-the-art amenities which include Library of the Future, Interactive Learning Zone and Multi-purpose Stadium.

Mr Chen showed interest at the display boards regarding various school activities

how it contributes to the provision of a holistic education to our students.

Ms Gatchalian Rosita (in black), English Language Consultant & Coordinator,
hosted a creative English drama workshop for Junior form students.

As a school using English as the Medium of Instruction (EMI), we use English widely in the campus. A rich & diversified learning environment offers an extensive and enriched opportunity for our students to learn English in their everyday life.
