Multiple-intelligence was suggested by Dr. Howard Gardener (1981), consisting of at least 8 different intelligences:
1. Linguistics Intelligence ("word smart")
2. Logical-mathematical Intelligence ("number/ reasoning smart")
3. Spatial Intelligence ("picture smart")
4. Musical Intelligence ("music Smart")
5. Bodily-kinesthetic Intelligence ("body smart")
6. Interpersonal Intelligence ("people smart")
7. Intrapersonal Intelligence ("self smart")
8. Naturalist Intelligence ("nature smart")
With the mission and vision in nurturing the “PERFECT” generation, whole person development forms an integral part in our education. We started the multiple-intelligence courses to provide students with plenty of opportunities in developing their multiple-intelligences. Our multiple-intelligence courses provide a wide range of choices for JS students. It is a regular programme that runs throughout the year during our normal school time-table.

All are taught in small classes , with 20-25 students in each class. The instructors are all experts of their professional fields. Through the courses, students can broaden their horizon and enhance their exposure.
(1) Leadership Empowerment Activity Programme (LEAP) 領袖飛躍計劃 --- Life skills & personal growth programme for JS students
LEAP Programme 領袖飛躍計劃 Focus : Personal & Leadership Empowerment 生命領袖飛躍 Objectives: We aim at
• Enabling students to manage their studies and life; • Enabling students to know more about their strengths and weaknesses; • Empowering them with stronger self-confidence and positive thinking • Enabling them to take a Paradigm Shift and see things in a more constructive and positive perspective; and • Empowering their capabilities through different activities, exercises and tasks
(2) Leading through Engineering, Art & Design (LEAD) 創意科藝工程計劃
Students will be able to develop the followings in the programme:
The curriculum The student-centered innovative curriculum is designed for F.1 students which aims at training students' life skills and developing their multiple talents with particular focus on:
• life skills, • knowledge in engineering, art & design and computer literacy, • generic skills, e.g. problem-solving skills, creativity, critical-thinking skills, etc, • values and attitudes, e.g. being a responsible, pro-active, self-evaluative and independent learner
through cultivating team spirit in an organization like scouts troops. Hands-on learning experience and learning through self-discipline are cultivated. The curriculum is also characterized by an enquiry-based and process-oriented experiential learning approach.
