We are greatly honoured to have the presence of our Supervisor, Dr Hon Lam Tai Fai, BBS, JP, to officiate at our First Parent-Teacher Association Executive Committee Inauguration Ceremony on Thursday, January 22, 2009.林大輝中學家長教師會 The setting up of the Parent-Teacher Association --- 1st PTA Executive Committee Inauguration Ceremony 第一屆執行委員會就職典禮 二零零九年一月二十二日  It is our pleasure to announce that the Lam Tai Fai College Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) was inaugurated at a ceremony on Thursday, January 22, 2009, in the fifth year of our school. The school would like to thank the members of the PTA Preparatory Committee for their hard work in establishing the PTA within such a short period of time --- in 5 months from June 2008 to January 2009. On the PTA Inauguration Day, our School Supervisor, the Honourable, Dr Lam Tai Fai, BBS, JS, has kindly consented to officiate at this epoch-making occasion of our school. We, the parents and teachers, are partners in fostering an environment that is conducive to students’ all-round attainment. The emphasis on a sense of partnership between school and home as well as on pastoral care, is balanced with our commitment to achieving excellence in academic, cultural, talent, aesthetics, technological and sporting pursuits. We are aspired to the nurturing of a LTFC ‘PERFECT’ generation of the 21st century.    農曆新年團年晚宴暨第一屆家長教師會執行委員就職典禮 本校於二零零九年一月二十二日舉行農曆新年團年晚宴暨第一屆家長教師會執行委員就職典禮，承蒙校監林大輝立法會議員 BBS, JP 撥 冗蒞臨，擔任主禮嘉賓，並致訓辭，以增光彩，不勝感銘。林校監一向熱心家校事務，關心本會發展，在講辭中感謝各執委會成員的熱心參與，並勉勵家教會擔當家 校合作的橋樑，攜手為學生共同營造更好的學習條件。團年晚宴是林大輝中學的傳統，家長每年均踴躍參加，與校長和老師一起共度佳節，透過是次難能可貴的機 會，希望加強家長與老師之間的聯繫，增進情誼。今年的團年晚宴氣氛熱烈融洽，學生表演更是全晚的高潮，充份展示學校重視學生的全人及多元智能發展。    Report on the Birth of LTFC PTA & the setting-up of the 1st PTA Executive Committee 家長教師會成立報告 by Ms May Chan, Chairperson, LTFC Preparatory Committee & the 1st PTA Executive Committee   On behalf of the PTA Executive Committee, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to your gracious presence. As the LTFC PTA was set up, our goal is to work for the betterment of our students. One of the things we shall promote is good relationship and cooperation between parents and teachers. If you have ideas about the PTA or activities that we should take on, please feel free to share them with us. With your help, the setting up of out PTA is the beginning of an open and pleasant way to share and to connect.
We are delighted to let you know that the executive committee members have been elected on January 16. 2009. We held a subsequent meeting on Monday, January 19 to decide the post for each executive member.    林校監、各位家長、各位老師、各位同學：
新年新願景，新事新里程！林大輝家長教師會的成立，為學校的凝聚更添新動力，為學校的發展標誌新里程。今天，第一屆執行委員會共二十一位委員宣佈就職，確實是一件可喜可賀的盛事！ 學 校開辦初期，不時有家長問我甚麼時候成立家長教師會。其實在學校的發展計劃裡，早有五年內成立家教會的目標。創校第四個學年，我們邀請了一群熱心家長，組 成諮詢委員會，蘊釀成立家教會。同一學年六月，發函邀請全體家長以選舉方式組成家長教師會籌備委員會，正式展開成立家教會的預備工作。 經過籌委會半年的努力，家教會第一屆執行委員會終於順利誕生。五載之期未屆，建會目標達成，我又怎能不對籌委會的各位家長和老師衷心致賀！敬申謝忱！ 要 達到育人為本、促進全人發展的教育目標，家、校間的緊密合作，至為關鍵。尤其在培養積極進取的人生態度方面，更需家庭的認同和配合，才可收到教育成效。新 成立的家教會，在未來兩年，既會充當家、校間的溝通橋樑，也將在落實學校的教育理念上，與我們一起推廣，共同為孩子們的健康成長、全人發展而努力。我曾向 執委會建議，每逢會議，都預留時間給我，讓我可以向各位委員介紹學校發展近況，並就實踐學校理念徵詢他們的意見。各位委員對我的提請熱情回應，教我深感鼓 舞。 即 將實施的新高中學制，勢必為中學學習帶來新面目。雖然新學制與本校原訂課程結構與教學方針十分吻合，但我們也不稍懈怠，全力預備，一則加強專業能力，同時 統整全人教育課程，致力拓展多元升學渠道，更自資籌建學生活動大樓，針對新課程的理念，開創學習空間。未來總是充滿機遇和挑戰的，家教會的成立，將有助進 一步凝聚家、校，共同為你們子女的未來作更充份的預備。 最後，謹祝家教會全體執行委員工作愉快！各位迎春納福，四季吉祥！ 校長 吳奇壎敬賀
